At Foothills Market, we're committed to bringing you fresh, locally-grown or locally-made foods, and that means we follow a more seasonal calendar than the big box stores. Some food may not be available all year round, and when it is available, the season may be short. That's the case with this week's offerings - we have a limited number of cantaloupes and watermelons grown here in Johnson County available this week! If you're like me, you look forward to the taste of vine-ripened melons all year and try to savor the flavor during their short season before they are gone again.

You may also have been hearing some horror stories about beef imports - rest assured, all the meat offered on the market comes from local farms where we know what is going in their mouths and can watch them for any signs of disease. Our meats are all prepared at local businesses that have either USDA or state meat inspectors, so we feel confident you are getting a healthy, safe product.
