There’s still time this afternoon to order from Foothills Market for this week. Remember we are shifting the pickup time and day for the summer to Saturday morning 8-noon to coincide with the Johnson County Community Market.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE! Summer Schedule

Foothills Market is going to have an adjusted pickup day and time for the summer. We’ll have pickup on Saturday morning from 8-noon at the Johnson County Community Market on the courthouse square in downtown Clarksville.

As the summer growing season kicks into high gear, our growers are busier than ever trying to manage their farms. Most of the growers already participate in the Johnson County Community Market, so combining Foothills Market pickup with the JCCM means the growers will have to take time away from the farm only one day of the week rather than two.

We hope this will not be an inconvenience for you; if this will be a major problem, please let us know. You’ll still be able to place an order online in advance so that you know you are getting the farm-fresh produce and meats you want. Don’t worry – your order will be kept separate from the items for the in-person market, so there won’t be any confusion when you come for pick-up.

We’ll still have the same selection on the market – maybe even things that won’t be available at the in-person market. Browse the listings, make your selections, and we’ll see you Saturday morning for your order pick-up.

Foothills Market is open for what looks like it may be a soggy week ahead. The weather has made it hard for our farmers to put in the crops we would usually have going by mid-May. But we do have some fresh vegetables available, with more to come.

Shop the market between now and 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. We’ll have your order ready for pick-up on Thursday between 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the county courthouse.

The Market is Open!

Based on the responses to the survey last week, we’ve decided to continue with Foothills Market for the time being, even though the in-person market started yesterday. Most of the responses indicated that people like the ability to pre-order, so we will keep making that option available for you as long as it seems viable this summer.

A few new items are starting to show up on the market as we get more into spring. The most abundant vegetable is still greens, but we have a good variety ranging from arugula to collard greens to Swiss chard. We also have a couple of root vegetables available in small quantities. Happy Horseshoe Farm also picked up a new order of beef from the butcher shop, so we have lot of different cuts to choose from.
