Cayenne and Lemon Grilled Okra
Looking for something different to do with okra? How about grilling it?
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb okra
- Drizzle of olive oil
- Pinch freshly-ground black pepper
- Pinch grated Parmesan cheese
- Pinch ground cayenne pepper
- Juice of 1/4 lemon
Instructions
- 1Skewer the okra (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 5-10 minutes first). Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with black pepper. Grill on medium-high heat on each side until the okra's skin is golden-brown. Be sure to cook okra enough that it will be tender. Remove from grill and skewers. Immediately sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and cayenne pepper. Drizzle with lemon juice.
