The Season Changes, and So Does the Product List

I was out this morning checking what’s available for the market. The garden peas look sad; they just can’t take the heat. But a couple of rows over I noticed the first of our beans are ready. Green beans, wax beans, and filet beans – we’ll have some of each available. I’ve been pretty conservative about the amounts available this week, but there are lots of small beans on the plants. If we get some rain, we’ll have LOTS of beans next week.

Speaking of having lots of something – our zucchini is producing well, so well in fact, that we’re going to offer some new baked goods this week. If you would like a sweet baked treat without having to heat up your house, maybe you’d like either the zucchini bread or the chocolate zucchini cake.

The blueberry season is winding down, but we still have some quarts available. By next week, we might have a few blackberries to put on the market. The seasons move on….

Place your order between noon today and 10 p.m. Tuesday for pick-up on Wednesday between 5-6:30 p.m. at the farmers’ market on the courthouse square.

Eat something fresh this week!
