Wow, what a snow! I heard on one news station that we got three years’ worth of “average” snow overnight last week. Foothills Market is open, but our growers are still waiting for the snow to melt to be able to see what’s left underneath.

That means our produce offerings on the market are limited this week (although items may be added later in the week as we see what made it through the snow). However, we still have plenty of other locally-grown and homemade products – meats, baked goods, and jams/jellies. Shop between now and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. – we’ll have your order ready for pickup on Thursday.

Market Is Closing Early

Because the forecast has snowy weather coming in earlier than expected tomorrow, we’re going to close Foothills Market early today. We’ll be back on the regular schedule next week. Thanks for your understanding!

It looks like the weather is going to be challenging for farming. Foothills Market will be open this week, but the weather may make some adjustment necessary. For example, orders may have to be reduced or cancelled altogether if cold temperatures damage the fresh vegetables.

On the positive side, though, we have plenty of items on the market that aren’t affected by the cold weather. We have a good variety of locally-grown meats and home-baked goods to choose from.
