The Market is Open!

Foothills Market is back after a short break for Thanksgiving. We hope you all had a good holiday!

Looking for something to do with those turkey leftovers? How about a stir-fry with pac choi and celery? Or you might like to try a recipe like Turkey-Spaghetti Squash Bake. You could even go the traditional turkey sandwich route and dress it up with Bread-and-Butter Pickles, Cranberry-Apple Relish, and a bit of salad mix from the aquaponics house.

Maybe you are tired of turkey altogether! We’ve got a great selection of beef right now, including sale prices on cuts from Spicer Farms.

Browse the market between now and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. We’ll have your order ready for pickup on Thursday.

No Market This Week

With Thanksgiving on Thursday this week, Foothills Market won’t be open for orders this week.

We want to take this opportunity to say we are thankful for YOU! We appreciate that you choose local foods and support our growers.

Enjoy your holiday, and we’ll be back next week!

Market Reminder (and No Market Next Week)

On Sunday, I forgot to say Foothills Market will be closed next week because of the Thanksgiving holiday. So, if you are looking to add some fresh, local produce to your Thanksgiving table, be sure to place an order today before 5:00 p.m.

What do we have for Thanksgiving? How about butternut squash, roasted or in a soup? We have Thanksgiving classics like sweet potatoes and cranberry relish (with apples and walnuts, yum!). Maybe you would like some jalapeno poppers to snack on while watching football. Maybe you’d like to save yourself the trouble of making a dessert by picking up some Fantasy Fudge or homemade brownies. Maybe you could use simple collard greens to cut through the fat and sugar in a typical Thanksgiving meal. Maybe you just don’t want to bother with a turkey and would like some beef steaks o the grill or a roast in the slow cooker.

Browse the market between now and 5:00 p.m. We’ll have your order ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon!

Let's Take a Break

Last week was pretty hectic for our Foothills Market growers, with trying to get everything out of the garden before the freeze and put out protection for anything still growing. So we’re going to take a break this week to regroup and see where we stand going into the late fall/winter season.

See you next week!

The Market is Open!

The growers for Foothills Market are busy this weekend, stripping anything tender from the garden in preparation for the freeze that’s predicted this week. That means we’ll have summer vegetables only until the supply runs out, because the garden isn’t making any more!

Spicer Farms & Kimberly’s Pantry has some new goodies in the jams/jellies section of the market. Three favorites made with muscadines are back in stock, both regular and lower-sugar varieties. Kimberly has also mixed up a batch of a new product for the market – peach chutney! Check it out between now and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., and click the “Place your order” button to finalize your order. We’ll have everything ready for pickup on Thursday.
