The Market is Open - January 8

Let’s hope the coldest part of the winter is behind us after last week! The growers at Foothills Market are starting to make plans for the spring gardens and dream of the planting season.

For now, though, the market has plenty of locally-grown beef and pork, along with an assortment of baked goods.

Browse our offerings, make your selections, then hit the “Place Your Order” button. Your order will be ready for pickup Friday afternoon between 4-6 at the Food for Thought Garden, 815 N. Hillcrest, in Clarksville.

Market Reminder

Remember the Foothills Market will close at noon today, so you still have some time to place an order!

The Market is Open - January 1

Happy New Year!

We at Foothills Market hope you are having a good beginning to 2018.

The market is open for shopping from now until Thursday at noon. This Thursday is National Spaghetti Day, so you might want to pick up some fresh, locally-grown meat from one of our growers to make your special sauce to celebrate.

The super-cold weather has really cut back on the offerings of fresh vegetables, but it looks like the Food for Thought Garden still has a limited amount of salad mix.

Browse the offerings, fill your cart, and click the “Place your order” button. We’ll have your order ready for pickup Friday afternoon between 4-6 at the Food for Thought Garden house in Clarksville (815 N. Hillcrest).

Thank you for your business, and we hope it’s one of your New Year’s resolutions to eat fresh and local this year!

There's Still Time!

The Foothills Market is open until noon today. Browse our offerings of meats and vegetables from local farmers, and pick up something fresh to eat this week!

The Market is Open - December 26

We at Foothills Market hope everyone had a good Christmas. This week the focus shifts to celebrating the end of one year and the beginning of the next. If you’re looking for the traditional Southern meal to bring you luck in the new year, we’ve got you covered.

  • Pork – Sheepy Hollow Farm has ham, ham hocks, and other cuts of locally-grown pork.
  • Black-eyed Peas – Happy Horseshoe Farm had dry black-eyed peas. State health regulations say peas must be sold in the shell, but Happy Horseshoe will also offer selling services if you want to save yourself the trouble.
  • Greens – The Food for Thought Garden has baby kale, and Happy Horseshoe Farm has collard greens; either one makes a great combination with pork and peas.

We also have a good variety of other products if you’re looking for something other than the traditional foods. Browse the market between now and Thursday at noon. Put items in your cart, then click the “place your order” button. Your order will be filled and ready for pickup between 4-6 p.m. Friday.

Thank you for your business, and Happy New Year!

The Market is Open - December 18

Christmas is nearly here, and that means good things to eat and gifts! The growers at Foothills Market can help you with your last-minute preparations.

For the good things to eat, we have several great options:

  • locally-grown, naturally-cured ham (see the recipe section for a new twist on the traditional Christmas ham)
  • locally-grown beef
  • fresh vegetables, including salad mix and Brussels sprouts (quantity is limited, so order early!)
  • baked goodies ranging from cookies for your Christmas party to breads or muffins perfect for Christmas morning

We also have several good options if you are looking for a last-minute gift. How about making up a gift basket of unusual sweet spreads with Kumquat Marmalade and Purple Hull Pea Jelly? Or maybe there’s a reader on your Christmas list who would appreciate historical fiction with a link to the Arkansas River Valley.

Check out the market, fill your cart with Christmas goodies, and click the “Place your order” button. Our elves – er, growers – will put your orders together, and you can pick them up on Friday between 4-6, just in time for Christmas!

We at Foothills Market wish all of you Happy Holidays!

The Market is Open - December 11

Welcome to another week with Foothills Market ! The market continues to grow – we have a new grower this week. Spicer Farms and Kimberly’s Pantry offers beef, a variety of jams, and two different kinds of candy. Check them out!

Believe it or not, we still have some fresh greens on the market, even with the freezing temps from the past week. We have salad mix, spinach, baby kale, and collard greens, so you can get your vitamin A.

Shop the market this week, fill your cart, and then click the “Place your order” button. Friday afternoon, pick up your order at the Food for Thought Garden between 4-6 p.m. It’s that simple!

Eat something fresh this week!

One More Hour....

Remember the market closes at noon today, if you are interested in placing an order this week.

The Market is Open - December 4

The weather is supposed to be turning cold this week, and Foothills Market has several items that you can turn into a good, hot meal for these cold evenings. Check out the selection of meats, including pork, lamb, and ham that contains no added nitrites or nitrates. We also have a variety of fresh greens to give a taste of spring even as winter approaches.

Every meal needs dessert, right? We have two assortments of Christmas cookies available this week, one with the traditional kinds of cookies kids like, and one with more sophisticated recipes selected just for adults. These cookies, unlike the packaged ones in the grocery store, are made fresh, usually on the day of delivery, and, when possible, use ingredients from local farms.

The market will be open until noon on Thursday. Shop, add items to your cart, then hit the “Place your order” button to finalize. Your order will be available Friday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. at the Food for Thought Garden, 815 N. Hillcrest.

Eat something fresh this week!
